Elissa Sy DNP, APRN-CNP
is a doctorate-prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and the owner and founder of Malama Health & Wellness in Bixby, Oklahoma. Her clinical background began in the Intensive Care Unit, where she cared for critically ill patients in high-stakes, fast-moving environments — an experience that shaped her deep respect for the body's resilience and her commitment to proactive, whole-person care.
Drawing on that foundation, Elissa founded Malama Health & Wellness to help patients move from crisis management to optimal living, specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), peptide therapy, medical weight loss, and injection therapy. She takes a personalized, evidence-based approach to every treatment plan, guiding patients toward improved energy, vitality, and long-term wellness.
The name Malama reflects the Hawaiian concept of "to care for" — a philosophy Elissa brings to every patient interaction, blending clinical expertise with genuine, individualized care. Her mission is simple: help people feel like themselves again, at every stage of life.

Alaina Ferraro-Braden APRN-CNP
Advanced Injector, Malama Health & Wellness is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse specializing in aesthetic injectables at Malama Health & Wellness. Her clinical foundation was built in plastic surgery, where she gained hands-on experience in surgical aesthetics, patient care, and a deep understanding of facial anatomy and proportion.
Now practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider, Alaina brings that surgical-aesthetic background to her injectable work, specializing in neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments designed to enhance natural beauty while preserving each patient's unique features. Her approach reflects Malama's philosophy of "preserve, not erase" — using precise, artful technique to deliver natural, refreshed results.
